Research: Graduate students may apply for research grants.  Distinctive Students:  Honors such as the Gabriela Mistral Award, the Mario Vargas Llosa Award, and the Ana María Matute Award are available.  Cultural Activities: In the past years, the chapter members have organized numerous Hispanic Festivals, a Spanish Conversation Partner Program, film series, bake sales featuring foods from the Spanish-speaking world, free tutoring for WVU students of Spanish, volunteer projects in the Morgantown community, and a Tapas Contest.  Develop a Professional Network: Members who are alumni keep in touch through our Sigma Delta Pi web page  (http://sigmadeltapi.studentorgs.wvu.edu/).  Develop lasting friendships: Our members are from all over the world, but they have one thing in common: love of the Spanish language and an admiration for the diverse cultures of the Hispanic world.  Through social media and travel, members keep in touch.
